NOAA Radar Map Fix
NOAA.gov recently updated their radar system servers addresses that host their maps thus breaking the iWeathr’s doppler still and animated maps. I’ve just released an update of iWeathr that corrects this issue. All is good again! Cheers, Brian

iWeathr Update [version 2.3]
Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve done any updates to iWeathr! I’ve been pretty busy having kids and working hard to get a few other projects off the ground. I had some time over this past rainy weekend and was able to complete some features and fixes from my punch list. Fullscreen Version Coming!

Bug Fix
Fixed a bug that would not allow you to delete a Favorite city in the iWeathr favorites list. This bug came about after the iPhone 2.0.2 software update. Removing a city from your Favorites list now functions as advertised again!

New Tropical Weather Feature
I’ve added a “Tropical Weather” section to the UN National area of iWeathr this morning. This feature allows you to view animated and still satellite imagery of current Tropical Weather and Hurricane activity for the Atlantic, Eastern Pacific, Gulf of Mexico and East Coast US regions.

New Current Conditions Feature
I’ve started to roll out a new “Current Conditions” feature to cities on iWeathr. This new feature will provide access to current conditions, temperature, wind, barometer, dewpoint, heat index, humidity and visibility. Current conditions data is updated approximately every hour. Major cities are the first to get this feature with the remainder to be completed in the coming weeks.

To go native? or not to go native?
So I’ve been kicking around the idea of doing a native app version of iWeathr for the App Store on the iPhone/iPod Touch…  I’m kinda torn though… While the exposure on the App Store would be huge, I’m debating over whether or not it would be worth the time to port the app considering the user experience would be no different than viewing the existing web application...
